Following a fierce battle that threatened to boil over, the British & Irish Lions paid respect to the Springboks at full-time after the home side won the second Test 27-9 in Cape Town.

With hostilities suspended until the third and deciding Test at the same ground next weekend, the Lions showed a touch of class by forming a guard of honour and clapping off the sitting world champions.
